Abstract | The objectives of the research were 1) to study strategies for the development of the education system to ensure effective Thai education and 2) to study the competitiveness of global education. This research is a qualitative research by analyzing documents and current situations, as well as perspectives towards the future of Thai education and drawing conclusions from descriptive methods. The findings revealed that the government's strategy for enhancing the efficiency and global competitiveness of the Thai education system draws heavily from the sufficiency economy theory of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, also known as King Rama IX. This strategy underscores the importance of inclusive participation across all sectors to ensure effective implementation. The research examined the contextual factors influencing the country's educational landscape amidst the digital technology revolution, shifts in population demographics towards an aging society, and the demand for 21st-century skills. Moreover, it considered the global challenges and competitiveness required for countries to shape education management and development strategies, enabling them to attain their objectives and compete internationally. |
