| Abstract | Objective: To identify the indicators of outcome for ostomy nursing. Delphi technique was used in this study. Twenty ostomy experts agreed to participate in this research which is a patient caring with ostomy nursing. Methods: The Delphi technique consisted of three steps. Step one, all experts were asked to described indicators of outcome for ostomy nursing. Step two, the data were analyzed by using content analysis to develop a rating scale questionnaire. All items in the questionnaire were ranked the level of competency by a prior panel of experts. In step three, items were analyzed by using median and interquartile range to develop a new version of questionnaire. The new questionnaire was sent to previous experts for confirming. Data were analyzed again by median and interquartile range to summarize indicators of outcome for ostomy nursing. Results: The indicators of outcome for ostomy nursing consisted of 4 components as follows: 1) Nursing outcome indication of safety during ostomy creation consisted of 17 items. 2) Nursing outcome indication of nursing needs to physical, psychological, sociocultural consisted of 9 items. 3) Nursing outcome indication of Self-care of patients consisted of 4 items and 4) Nursing outcome indication of quality of life of patients consisted of 13 items. Conclusion: good key performance indicators will be able to accurately assess nursing results as targeted and can be used to plan nursing effectively and efficiently. |
