| Abstract | Hydroxychloroquine is widely used for treatment of autoimmune diseases for a long time, due to its safety and fewer side effects than any other immunosuppressive agents; but it can cause retinal toxicity that is irreversible and can progress even after drug cessation. Physician should concern and make a proper eye screening test to prevent loss of vision; and to avoid unnecessary drug cessation. |
