| Abstract | In this study, we have produced and performed antimicrobial assay of Shrimp Ovarian Peritrophin domain A (SOP-A) protein. The result showed that the molecular weight of purified SOP-A protein is about 9 kDa. Purify SOP-A protein inhibited the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Vibrio harveyi, Candida albicans and Fusarium oxysporum with minimal inhibitory concentrations of 0.035 mg/ml, 0.28 mg/ml, 0.28 mg/ml, 0.57 mg/ml and 0.015 mg/ml respectively. Minimal Bactericidal/Fungicidal Concentration of SOP-A with S. aureus, E. coli,V. harveyi, C. albicans and F. oxysporum were 0.035 mg/ml, 0.57 mg/ml, 0.28 mg/ml, 0.57 mg/ml and 0.015 mg/ml, respectively. |
