| Abstract | High annealing temperature random amplified polymorphic DNA (HAT-RAPD) technique was used to study the genetic relationship among 4 genus 7 species of Magnoliaceae. Seventy-two random primers were screened and 57 primers could be used for DNA amplification. Fifteen primers which gave clear amplified products were selected and used to analyze all varieties. The result showed significant differences among 7 species having specific fragments for each variety. Furthermore, there are six primers which are able to identify all species. A dendrogram constructed based on polymorphic bands showed genetic similarities among Magnoliaceae and separated to 4 clusters with similarity coefficients ranging from 0.38 to 0.78. |
