| Abstract | We produced White Spot Syndrome Binding protein (WBP) and developed label-free affinity biosensor for the quantitative detection of WSSV in shrimp pond water. A WBP was immobilized on gold electrode through a self-assembled monolayer to detect WSSV under a flow injection system. Binding between WSSV and immobilized biological molecules was detected by an impedance change (?Z') in real time. The sensitivity of biosensor was in the linear range of 1.6x101-1.6x105 copies of WSSV. The system was highly sensitive for analysis of WSSV. The biosensor is simple to operate, reliable, reproducible and may be applied in areas of shrimp cultivation. |
