| Abstract | The predominant adverse events of the mRNA vaccine are myocarditis and pericarditis. These conditions are diagnosed by serum troponin level, electrocardiogram (ECG), and echocardiogram. A young male is one of the significant risk factors being reported so far. Chest pain is a symptom that occurs in all pediatric patients with myocarditis or pericarditis. In this report, we documented a typical case of a young male patient who received his first dose of the BNT162b2 vaccine and developed chest pain. His ECG and serum troponin level showed abnormalities which were associated with myopericarditis. Finally, he was treated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and his symptoms were fully recovered. |
