| Abstract | Testing of maize var. Nakhon Sawan 3 in Nan and Chiang Mai Provinces wasconducted in 2016-2017 to find out suitable maize varieties in those areas. The study wasimplied in land of 10 farmers with 20 rai. In the first year (2016) maize var. Nakorn Sawan3 showed higher yield and more profit than commercial varieties because the seed cost ofNakorn Sawan 3 maize was lower than commercial seed. For the second year (2017),commercial varieties had higher yield and showed more profit than Nakhon Sawan 3 but wasnot significantly difference. However, the seed cost of Nakhon Sawan 3 maize was lower thancommercial varieties. Therefore, Nakhon Sawan 3 maize is suitable for farmers on Fang, MaeAi, Chai Prakan, Phrao District in Chiang Mai Province and Mueang Nan District in NanProvince. |
