| Abstract | A field experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of seedling ages and nitrogen rates on KDML105, an aromatic rice variety, at Phitsanulok Rice Research Center during July to December 1994. The experiment was designed as 3x6 factorial in RCB with 3 replications. Treatments are 3 seedling ages (30, 40 and 60 days) and 6 nitrogen rates (0, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 kgN/rai). The results showed that aged seedlings (45 and 60 days) of KDML105 decreased plant height and tiller number, while nitrogen increased them. Rice transplanted with 45 and 60 days seedlings gave lower yield than that with 30 day seedlings. However, nitrogen application could increase the yield. Physical and chemical grain quailty were not affected by different seedling ages or nitrogen rates. |
