| Abstract | This study was conducted in 2012 to be used as information to develop the learning process for social determinants of health for health workers in Thailand. After this study, Foundation for Just Society Network (JuSNet) used the information to improve the curriculum of Social Justice workshop By surveying international documents of the learning process for social determinants of health, 4 interesting case studies found. The results of the study revealed that the learning process for social determinants of health has many levels: (1) learning to build the working networks and policy driving in both international cooperation and domestic on a multilateral basis. (2) learning to develop learning tools and processes which consist of various methods, various participants, and the reviewing of knowledge from actual practice is needed. (3) learning to build the proper thinking base for different groups of people involved in social determinants of health. Focusing on the relationship of health factors at different levels and the relationship of social determinants of health with other issues in society. Policy-makers can design strategies, policy and project to encourage more learning in these subjects. This led to recommendations on the development of a learning process that comprehensive at all levels. Lead by the Ministry of Public Health or government health agencies to build cooperation and drive "social determinants of health" and "health equity" at the national and Asian regional level. Policy-makers can design strategies, policy and project to encourage more learning in these subjects. As for the recommendation of the course content design; there should be various learning processes and consistent with the content to be conveyed. However, the diversity of the participants must also be taken into account. Including the content of the course must be able to demonstrate the connection of the issues behind it. |
