| Abstract | The purpose of this article is to analyze the elderly's behavior in health information seeking in foreign countries. The research findings review that 1) The elderly's health information needs depend on contexts or situations they facing during seeking information 2) The most reliable source of health information from persons 3) Format of health information that the elderly require are sound, text, picture and multimedia 4) The elderly's motivation for seeking health information are health problems, disease prevention, and treatment and diet 5) Uses of health information are for self-care, disease prevention, treatment, and diet and 6) Barriers to health information seeking are lacking of enough health information sources, information literacy, education, environment, as well as language. |
