| Abstract | Objective of this study is to know the current situationsof Guangdong music in Guangdong -Hong Kong -Macao Greater Bay Area in China. The research method is ethnomusicological qualitative surveyingresearch by survey the musical circumstances, music performances and interviews the informants. Area of study is Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao which is called the greater bay area. Research tools are survey guiding form and interviewing form. Working period was from January toAugust 2020.The research finding was: Guangdong music is an important intangible cultural heritage in China and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area; it is a development area. Therefore, we must seize the opportunity to inherit the excellent music culture on the one hand and bring on the new on the other hand. The current music situation found in three aspects; 1) social function of music has change, 2) the physical development of urban area and its economic, and 3) theexpansion of western music influence. The specific development path of this area found in three aspects: 1) adhering of authentic music into music curriculum, 2) reform of music culture and education system and 3) modernization of music. |
