Abstract In this article deferred density is employed to introduce new generalisations of topological convergence, boundedness and Cauchiness for sequences in a locally solid Riesz space. Along with investigating the fundamental properties and inclusion theorems of these newly introduced concepts, the notion of statistical continuity is extended for functions using the deferred Cesaro mean in locally solid Riesz spaces.
