| Abstract | The objectives of this research were 1) to study the situation of networking creation in crime prevention and suppression in the area of lower northern provinces, 2) to study the networking management of crime prevention and suppression in the area of lower northern provinces and 3) to propose strategies for networking creation in crime prevention and suppression in the area of lower northern provinces. This study employed mixed methods research which combined both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The quantitative research was conducted by studying the sample of 569 respondents who were selected from the registered people in crime prevention and suppression network of 2533 persons and from polices of the same network in the area of 5 lower northern provinces. The questionnaire was used as the research tool and the data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics comprising by mean. The qualitative method was conducted by in-depth interviewing with 120 key informants who were selected purposively from the experts in networking management and people who were stakeholders of the network, combined with group discussion of 18 participants who were experts and purposively selected from policy formulators, administrators, academicians, experts in networking creation, community leaders and stakeholders. The data were analyzed by content analysis. The research results were as follows: 1. The network management of crime prevention and suppression in the area of lower northern prevention were at a high level. 2. The network management of crime prevention and suppression in the area of lower northern prevention comprised two essential measures composing of 1) developing of operational model of crime prevention and suppression networking, and 2) developing the management of crime prevention and suppression network. 3. The proposed strategies for crime prevention and suppression network creation consisted of 3 main strategies consisting of 1) the strategy for project establishment in crime prevention and suppression as compulsory implementations in all police offices by utilizing the people as network members, 2) the strategy for setting up the systematic communication networks between the people and community relation polices, and 3) strategy for incentive creations to all network participants by providing wages, rewards, uniforms, various forms of services including honor awards publicizing by using annual budgeting. |
