Abstract The objectives of this research (1) were to study the context. and general economic conditions of Village No. 9, Village No. 10 and Village No. 15, Lan Sakae Subdistrict, Phayakkhaphum Phisai District Maha Sarakham Province. And (2) to study the factors affecting the income of farmers who farm in Village No. 9, Village No. 10, and Village No. 15, Lan Sakae Sub-district, Phayakkhaphum Phisai District Maha Sarakham Province. The sample size was determined by Taro Yamane's method at a deviation of 0.05 from a population of 203 households to obtain a sample size of 135 households with a detailed sample size calculation was at 95% confidence level. Data Collection (1) Primary Data This is a collection of data from 135 questionnaires. It collects general data such as education level, age, area size, gender, number of households, labor, irrigation area, income, costs such as costs from farming Operating costs, and return on farming During the year of cultivation 2018/19. (2) Secondary data is the collection of data from reports. Thesis related to farming, rice planting, as well as researching various statistical data such as an overview of farmers' income in 2018, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. Office of Agriculture and Cooperatives and related research, etc. Descriptive statistics or descriptive statistics are used for the analysis of variables to determine the distribution of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. highest value, lowest value, to study the characteristics of each variable of the sample. Qualitative data analysis was based on content analysis and descriptive presentation. The results showed that. Farmers in Lan Sakae sub-district found that most of the 79 people were male (58.5%), 56 were female (41.5%), 64 people (47.4%) were under primary education, 32 primary school students (23.7%), lower secondary and high school 18 (13.3%), 2 bachelor's (1.5%), the least 1 postgraduate (0.7%) respectively. The minimum age is 26 years, the maximum is 83 years, the mean age is 58.2593 years (S.D.=11.63818). The minimum area for farming is 1 rai, the largest area is 46 rai, the average area is 13.1734 rai. (S.D.=7.67487). The lowest number of household workers was 1, the highest was 8, average 2.4889 (S.D.=1.08495). The cost of farming is the lowest 900 baht, the highest is 114,600 baht, the average is 28,836.6667 baht (S.D.=18051.17539). Factors affecting the income of farmers who farmed at a significant level of 0.05 were the size of the farming area and the cost of farming. The variables that did not affect the income of the farmers who farmed at the 0.05 level were sex, age, number of workers, and irrigated area.
