| Abstract | This research aims to 1) design a science learning activity on cellular respiration using an inquiry-based approach combined with the board game to enhance students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and 2) develop a science learning board game on cellular respiration based on the inquiry-based learning concept. This study employs a mixed-methods research approach. The qualitative method involved a panel of three experts who evaluated the accuracy and appropriateness of the learning activities and the board game. The quantitative method used an appropriateness assessment conducted by three experts. The research findings revealed that 1) the science learning activity on cellular respiration consists of five steps following the 5E inquiry-based instructional model, with a total learning duration of 6 hours, and 2) the board game was rated as highly appropriate (M=4.08, SD=0.45). The evaluation of the board game's technological quality also indicated a high level of appropriateness (M=4.13, SD=0.47). |
