| Abstract | The research article on study of foreign words and dialect words that appears in novels “Chao Chan Phom Hom Nirat Phra That Inkhwaen” by “Mala Khamchan” aims to study foreign language words and dialect words that appears in the novel "Chao Chan Phom Hom Nirat Phra That Inkhwaen" by "Mala Khamchan" the research results found that:1) The foreign words that appear in novels “Chao Chan Phom Hom Nirat Phra That Inkhwaen” by “Mala Khamchan” appears to have borrowed words from 5 languages: Pali, Sanskrit, words that can be both Pali and Sanskrit, Khmer, English, and Lao.2) The dialect words that appear in the novel “Chao Chan Phom Hom Nirat Phra That Inkhwaen” of “Mala Khamchan” appears words in 3 dialects, including northern dialect words Isaan dialect words. The words that can be used in both northern and northeastern dialects. and words in the Isaan-Southern dialect.3) From the study results, it can be seen that “Chao Chan, Phom Hom Nirat Phra That Inkhwaen” has style in a unique presentation has the charm of using language to tell stories by using language that is easy to understand through the use of various foreign language borrowed words there was euphemism combined with storytelling using dialect words, especially the Northern dialect to makes the story flow naturally and helps create imagination for the reader and make the reader feel emotional of a true novel. |
