| Abstract | The objectives of this research were 1) to study level of political communication of local politician affecting local voting right, 2) to analyze political communication of local politician affecting local voting right, and 3) to present local voting rights guideline of police officers in Pathumthani province. This research was mixed methodology. The conceptual framework of the research was applied from Mrian McNair’ study. The population consisted of 11,797 police officers in Pathumthani province. The samples were 317 police officers determined by Krejcie & Morgan ‘s table and interviewed 15 superintendents, deputy superintendents and inspectors. The instruments used in this research were a 5-rating scale questionnaire, and interview form and content summarize. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Multiple Regression Analysis.The research results revealed that 1) level of political communication of local politician as a whole was at a moderate level. When considering each aspect from high to low found that pre behavior to exercising voting rights was at a much level and election motivation aspect and election voting decision-making aspect were moderate level respectively. 2) The analysis results on political communication of local politician found that 4 variables; the sender, the message, the receiver, and the reaction that predicted exercising local voting rights of police officers in Pathumthani province at 49.40 % with statistically significant level of .01. 3 ) Local voting rights guideline of police officers in Pathumthani province must focus on communicating content related to needs, develop the election system to be efficient and convenient in exercising rights and organize a training project on information analysis. |
