| Abstract | The purposes of this research were to study and compare opinions of the elderly towards the roles of Ban Phueng Subdistrict Administrative Organization in promoting work and creating income for the elderly, which was a quantitative research. The sample consisted of 331 elderly people living in Ban Phueng Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Phanom Province, by using the method of calculating the sample size according to the Taro Yamane formula. The instrument used for collecting data was a rating scale questionnaire with the entire reliability of 0.88. The statistics used in data analysis were Mean, Standard Deviation, and Independent Sample: T-test and F-test. The findings of the research were as follows: 1) The elderly had opinions towards the roles of Ban Phueng Subdistrict Administration Organization in promoting work and creating income for the elderly. Overall, each aspect was at a high level, in which the highest scores were promoting work, followed by creating income. 2) The elderly and those different of family status, there were differences in opinions towards roles of Ban Phueng Subdistrict Administrative Organization in promoting work and differences creating income were statistically significant at the level of 0.05. From the research findings, there were two suggestions: 1) The development of career skills, training for the elderly should consider the needs and family status of the elderly followed by finding work for the elderly to do at home, including the employment of the elderly. 2) The creation of a local development plan for the elderly to have a better quality of life with careers and self-support income and not being a burden to their children, there should be a project or suitable activities for the elderly in each age range and should give the priority to the elderly who were vulnerable first such as the elderly who were alone or with children and older people because of their low career potentiality and income. |
