| Abstract | This study aims to 1) study the roles of academic officers who support teaching and learning in the Academic Department, College of Politics and Governance, Mahasarakham University, and 2) identify effective practical guidelines for academic officers who support teaching and learning in the Academic Department, College of Politics and Governance, Mahasarakham University. The population of this study is comprised of 5 academic officers and staff members in the Academic Department along with experienced academic officers in the College of Politics and Governance. The tools utilized include documents, workloads, interviews, group discussion, and narrative synthesis and analysis. From the study, the roles and effective practical guidelines for academic officers responsible for counter services through the academic bachelor degree program can be summarized as follows: 1) Exam storage, collection, production, number certification, and distribution to teachers, 2) Education process, conclusion, and presentation to the committee of the College of Politics and Governance and transcript submission, 3) Students request services consisting of 2 parts, including the requests which finished at bachelor academic department and Registrar's Division as well as providing advice for students, 4) Consulting services, advisors and student meetings for each semester, and 5) PR, Study Tour Project twice a semester. From the load of assigned work from the 5 items, effective practical guidelines can be developed for clear and expeditious operation. |
