| Abstract | This research is to develop a voice control system for electrical devices by applying speech recognition technology to control lighting which providing an option to facilitate daily use for the elderly through the Android operating system. The purpose of this research is as follows: 1) to study the operation of the voice command system application, 2) to study how to facilitate the use of electrical equipment within the residence through the wireless communication system for the elderly, 3) to evaluate the lighting control system via the Android operating system. However, when the research has been completed, we found that the result met the research objectives as follows: 1) get an Android application that can be voice controlled, 2) get an application that gives the elderly can control the light by voice, 3) get system evaluation results by giving this application to people in the area around Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University, which are 45 elderly people. By evaluating the satisfaction of the overall system performance, we found that in terms of development for actual use, the overall performance was at the highest level with the average value of 4.64 from 5 with the standard deviation of 0.25. The satisfaction in the equipment was at the highest level with the average value of 4.61 from 5 with the standard deviation of 0.36. The performance in using the program is at the highest level with an average of 4.59 from 5 with standard deviation of 0.24. And satisfaction in using the system was at the highest level with an average of 4.71 from 5 with standard deviation of 0.25. |
