| Abstract | The objectives of this research are to: 1)study level of perception of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, quality of life and application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy of Pathom Asoke community in Nakhon Pathom province; 2) compare the application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, as classified by personal factors; 3) study the relationship between perception of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and quality of life with the application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy; and 4) identify guidelines for application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy to improve quality of life for Pathom Asoke Community. The sample of this study was 125 residents of Pathom Asoke Community derived by simple random sampling and 10 key informants derived by purposive sampling. The research instruments were a questionnaire and in-depth interview guidelines. The collected data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient and content analysis. The research findings showed that: 1) Overall, the perception of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy of Pathom Asoke Community was at a high level, when considering in each aspect. It was found that the perception of the moral condition was at the highest level. Overall, the quality of life of Pathom Asoke Community was at a high level. Specifically, the aspect of Thai values instillation was at the highest level. The application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy of Pathom Asoke Community in overall was at a high level. 2) Pathom Asoke Community residents with differences in sex, educational level, community status, residential duration and experience in the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy differently applied the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy with a statistical significant level at .05. 3) The perception of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and quality of life highly corelated to the application of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy with a statistical significant level at .05. 4) The guidelines for application of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy foun that Pathom Asoke Community should train themselves and learn to live simply and sufficiently. They should live a moral life, be self-reliant, enthusiastic, responsible for community affairs, and perseverant. |
