| Abstract | Digital Humanities is a discipline that integrates advancements in computer technology with the humanities. It goes beyond merely leveraging computers for data processing, fostering novel approaches to humanities research and introducing diverse methodologies for humanities studies. To provide an overview of the impacts and transformations brought about by Digital Humanities, this article first presents various innovative methods employed in humanities research, including language corpora, digital archives, metadata, statistical methods, data visualization, agent-based modeling, natural language processing, and social media. After discussing these methodologies, the second part of the article highlights findings from the research project titled “Innovative Methods in Digital Humanities: Development and Applications.” This project comprises five sub-projects that serve as examples of the development and application of these methodologies in different areas of humanities research within the context of Thai society. These projects illustrate how the innovative methods can be effectively applied to humanities studies in the Thai context, marking a significant transformation in the field of Digital Humanities. |
