| Abstract | This study explores the transformative potential of ubiquitous collabora-tive learning applications in fostering gender-inclusive success in computereducation. Persistent gender disparities in STEM fields, particularly incomputing, highlight the need for innovative educational approaches thatensure equitable access and engagement. This research evaluates howthese applications enhance learning achievement and perceptions equi-tably across genders, providing a promising pathway to address long-standing challenges in education. A mixed-methods approach was em-ployed, involving 226 undergraduate computing students from northernThailand. Data collected through pre- and post-tests and surveys re-vealed significant improvements in learning achievement for the exper-imental group, with no notable gender differences in outcomes. Addi-tionally, students in the experimental group reported higher satisfactionwith the application’s user interface, perceived usefulness, ease of use, andoverall learning experience than those in the control group. The findingsunderscore the capacity of ubiquitous collaborative learning applicationsto support inclusive and equitable education, addressing gender dispari-ties while improving educational outcomes. The implications of this studyare significant, highlighting the importance of leveraging innovative edu-cational technologies to foster engagement, reduce inequities, and preparestudents for the demands of the digital era. |
