| Abstract | The antimicrobial activity of phytobiotics for external application was analyzed. Preparations containing active plant metabolites of mint, coriander, fennel, sage and dill, presented in the form of water-oil emulsions with an essential oil complex, were studied. The inhibitory activity of the preparations was tested in vitro on multi-antibiotic-resistant wild isolates of S. aureus and P. aeruginosa. It was found that the susceptibility of the isolates was characterized by high variability. The preparation based on the coriander essential oil complex had the greatest inhibitory effect. An experiment was conducted on productive cows the mucous membranes of nasal cavity, the ostium of teats and vagina were irrigated with preparations and the dynamics of their microbial contamination was analyzed. It was found that all the experimental phytobiotics had an effect on the microflora composition of mucous membrane. The most pronounced effect was received for E. coli, P. aeruginosa and C. albicans the number of isolates isolated after the experiment decreased by 3-5 times . |
