Abstract Effects of career planning, consultative management, communication and culture (Performance-oriented) have been the focus of research scholars, previously. This is the first study presenting a combined effect of 4C's of the work environment in a unique model, investigating the impact with mediating role of individual performance on organizational performance. The objective aspect of performance is considered with respect to system performance. Data were collected from 42 firms of manufacturing and services sector, through questionnaires. Results show that career planning, culture, communication, and consultative management as part of work environment has a significant impact on organizational performance with employee's individual performance acting as a mediator. Contribution of this study to the body of knowledge is a model exhibiting 4C's of Work Environment and their relationship with individual and organizational performance.
