| Abstract | Providing social welfare for the elderly requires integration from many sectors, including the government, the private sector, the public sector, and the civil society sector. This is to focus on the elderly to have a good quality of life and live happily in society. This article aims to explain the roles and duties of local government organizations in providing social welfare for the elderly, and to study the problems in the implementation of social welfare provision for the elderly of the local administrative organizations. In promoting the quality of life of the elderly that the local government must take action on the following issues: (1) health, (2) Education, (3) residence, (4) Subsistence payments, (5) Promotion of career and product development, (6) Promotion of marketing for the products of the elderly, (7) Community welfare fund. However, the problems in the operation of local administrative organizations and social welfare provision for the elderly are clarity of work, budget, regulations or laws, personnel responsible for operations, and cooperation from the people's sector. |
