| Abstract | Thai political system has been related from ancient times to the present because the military is regarded as a pillar of stability of independence. Issues of analysis of roles and relations between the military and Thai politics have been defined following the constitutional law framework of the Kingdom of Thailand, B.E. 2560 (2017). The Royal Thai Armed Forces are responsible for equipping the Royal Thai Armed Forces, protecting the Kingdom, and taking action on the use of military force under the Ministry of Defense's mandate to secure territorial sovereignty. However, the relationship between the military and Thailand has both democratic and contradictory dimensions: (1) The dimensions following the principles of the democratic way are; maintaining independence (economic, trust, etc.), Disaster relief, Security of land, sea, air, International political diplomacy, and Infrastructure development in rural areas, etc. And (2) dimensions that are inconsistent with the principles of the democratic way are; Coup d’état, Political interference, Influencing the godfather style, Gray business operations, and Political succession. |
