| Abstract | This research aims to study the travel behavior of foreign long-term residents in Chiang Mai before and during COVID-19. The study is a quantitative research; the research instrument used was a questionnaire. The researcher collected data using Convenience sampling, with a sample size of 380 participants. Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation (S.D.).The findings of the study revealed that most foreign long-term residents in Chiang Mai were male, aged over 66 years, of American nationality, and had been residing in Thailand for less than 7 years. The majority held a temporary resident visa, were married, had a bachelor’s degree, and were retired. Their sources of income were from business or employment, with monthly accommodation expenses ranging from 11,001 to 19,000 THB. Travel expenses per month were less than 5,001 THB, daily living expenses ranged from 9,601 to 19,200 THB, and other expenses were less than 8,001 THB per month. Regarding the travel behavior of foreign long-term residents in Chiang Mai before and during COVID-19, the study found significant differences between the two periods. |
