| Abstract | The path taken by researchers to study ancient medicine texts from various fields is explored in this study. The texts being studied are related to ancient scriptures and documents contained in several 1999-2019 A.D relevant documents and researches totaling 38 different subjects. The outcome of the research found that studies of ancient medicines in Thailand would benefit by adopting 4 guidelines each of which contain numerous items of importance. 1) In a study that focused on herbal medicine in its overall form, 15 items were found, 2) In a study aimed at studying drug formulas, diagnosis, and treatment methods, 7 items were found,3) In a study that focused on language and literature, 3 topics were found, 4) In a study aimedat studying medicine's specific symptoms, 12 items were found. These four guidelines areconsidered mandatory in the education sector in Thailand. If researching traditional medicinetexts is deemed to be beneficial, researchers should use cross-disciplinary research, which willmaximize the benefits of research into ancient medicine texts. |
