| Abstract | The objective of this research is twofold: 1) to examine the cultural capital related to the value additon of knives products, and 2) to study guideline for value addition of knives products based on cultural capital of Nong Ngu Lueam Subdistrict, Chaloem Phra Kiat District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The study was conducted in Nong Ngu Lueam Subdistrict with a targeted group comprising 15 individuals from the knife-making community of Nong Ngu Lueam. The research methodology utilized interviews, focus group discussions, and participant observation, with data validation through triangulation of methods and sources. Data analysis was performed using content analysis and inductive analysis, presented through descriptive analysis. The research findings are as follows: 1) the study of the cultural capital related to the value addition of knives products identified (1) capital in the quality and uniqueness of knife production (2) cultural capital in beliefs and rituals (3) capital in knowledge and traditional wisdom. (4) capital in places to expand marketing. 3) guideline for value addition of knife products in Nong Ngu Lueam Subdistrict involve leveraging local cultural capital to analyze, design, and develop new products that exhibit a unique local identity. |
