| Abstract | This study aims to study 1) states of applying digital technology to develop a digital local governance; and 2) conditions of applying digital technology to develop a digital local governance of Nonthaburi City Municipality. A qualitative method was used with Nonthaburi City Municipality as the case study. The data was collected by semi-structural interview with 22 key informants selecting purposive from applying digital technology to develop a digital local governance of Nonthaburi City Municipality and documentary research. Content analysis was also used by inductive summation of the corresponding data. The findings reveal that 1) Nonthaburi City Municipality has context in driving digital technology into digital local governance development under the clear executive policy, knowledgeable and skilled personnels with practical potential, and guidelines for urban administration and management by integrating various public services with digital technology with emphasis on civil participation and other partners to develop the city, 2) key success conditions of applying digital technology to develop Nonthaburi City Municipality are included of; 1) condition of organizational management mechanism, including; (1) local administrators’ leadership, (2) system and readiness of operation, (3) public participation and acceptance, and (4) support from stakeholders, and 2) condition of digital technology application, including; (1) vision and strategy of organization, (2) cultural digital working, (3) digital work process, and (4) digitalizing organization in full form. |
