| Abstract | The objective of this research is to examine the corporate governance and its relationship to the financial performance of family businesses listed in the Security Exchange of Thailand (SET) during 2008-2015 by contrasting between the family business (FB) group with the nonfamily business (NFB) group. The corporate governance of the FB group is found to be not different from the NFB group at statistically significant level of .05 and for the FB group, the score for corporate governance is correlated with the market capitalization, the net profit margin, the gross profit margin, the return on asset and the return on equity of the group at statistically significant level of .05,; while it is not correlated with the earning per share at the same statistically significant level. |
