| Abstract | This article proposes the multiobjective adaptive current search (MoACS) as one of the most powerful metaheuristic optimization techniques for solving multiobjective optimization problems. The MoACS is the newly modified version of the current search (CS) developed from the behavior of electric current in the electrical networks. In this article, the MoACS is developed and validated against three standard multiobjective test functions. Results obtained by the MoACS will be compared with those obtained by five well-known algorithms from literatures. Then, the MoACS is applied to design two real-world multiobjective engineering optimization problems, i.e. welded beam design and disc brake design. As results, it was found that the MoACS can provide very satisfactory solutions and perform the well-smooth Pareto fronts for all problems. |
