| Abstract | Even though mutual fund industry has be playing more important role in global market, this industry in Thailand is still, however, relatively small by accounting only allow 20 percent of the national income, much lower than the same ratio in the US in which accounted around 152 percent. This paper aims analyzing 3 success factors of mutual fund industry which are 1) Demand Factor, 2) Supply Factor, and 3) Institutional and Regulation Factor. In conclusion, the most prominent constraints for the growth of mutual fund industry in Thailand should be corrected by government supports through expanding regulation, supervision, creating transparency, and promoting value competition among asset management companies in Thailand. |
