Abstract In the 21st century, educational institutions face complex transformations driven by globalization, technological advancement, and evolving societal expectations. This paper explores the concept of academic leadership among educational administrators, emphasizing the skills, roles, and challenges necessary for effective school leadership in contemporary contexts. Drawing on prominent leadership theories—transformational, instructional, and distributed leadership—this study presents an integrated framework of academic leadership tailored for modern educational demands. It also offers recommendations for developing leadership capacity to meet future challenges in education systems.
