Description Germinated black glutinous rice (GBGR) is a black glutinous rice (BGR) that has been soaked in water to initiate pre-germination. Important nutrients in GBGR has been reported to have protective effects in developing rats against the memory loss. This study investigated the effects and protective mechanisms of GBGR against Aβ25-35 peptide induced neurotoxicity in rats. The results showed that GBGR has a potential role to protect against memory deficits in an Alzheimer’s rat model.
