| Abstract | Supplier selection is a critical process that requires decision makers to evaluatemultiple criteria simultaneously in order to identify the most appropriate alternative.Due to the complexity of balancing various evaluation factors, Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) techniques have become widely used to support systematic andobjective decision-making. Among these techniques, the Technique for OrderPreference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and ELimination Et ChoixTraduisant la REalité II (ELECTRE II) are commonly applied for ranking alternativesbased on multiple criteria. This study aims to compare the performance of TOPSIS and ELECTRE II insupplier evaluation and selection using a common dataset. The research applies bothmethods under the same evaluation conditions to examine their ranking procedures anddecision-making characteristics. The analysis involves data preparation, normalization, criteria weighting, and the implementation of each method to generate rankings for thesupplier alternatives. By comparing the two approaches, the study seeks to identify theirsimilarities, differences, and practical applicability in supporting supplier selectiondecisions. The findings are expected to provide useful insights for researchers and practitioners in choosing an appropriate multi-criteria decision-making technique forcomplex supplier evaluation problems. |
