| Abstract | Effect of By-product of monosodium glutamate (Ami-Ami) preparation time on the growth and yield of Pak choi in the non-circulated hydroponic system with air bubble was studied. The inorganic standard solutions were replaced with the 1,000 times dilution of Ami-Ami. The experiment was conducted in completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments followed as: Ami-Ami solution preparation time at 0, 3, 6, 9 and 12 days. Growth of Pak choi were recorded every 3 days and harvested at 24 days after transplanted. The results showed that the height, leaf width and weight of Pak choi with Ami-Ami solution at different preparation time were similar. Pak choi with Ami-Ami solution at 12 days preparation had leaf number and chlorophyll content more than that in less preparation time with significant difference. Furthermore, the used of 1,000 times diluted Ami-Ami solution with longer preparation time, Pak choi is likely to have better growth. |
