| Abstract | In order to extend the usable photon spectrum to higher photon flux, an undulator with periodic magnetic field has to be installed into the storage ring of the synchrotron facility. This paper presents the perturbations from the magnetic field of such a device on the electron beam dynamics in the ring. Theories and an example of a practical device are discussed. The U60 undulator of the Siam Photon Source is selected for illustrating these ideas. |
