| Abstract | Cytogenetics of black shark (Morulius chrysophekadion) and black tiger fish (Nandus oxyrhynchus) from Gut-ting Wetland, Beungkan Province, were studies. Kidney cell samples were taken from 5 male and 5 female fishes. The mitotic chromosome preparations were prepared directly from kidney cells. Conventional staining technique was applied to stain the chromosomes. The results showed that diploid chromosome number were 2n=50 and 2n=48, respectively. The fundamental numbers (NF) were 86 and 90, respectively. The chromosomes presences of metacentric, submetacentric, acrocentric and telocentric chromosomes were 8-14-14-14 and 6-22-14-6, respectively. No strange size chromosomes related to sex were observed. |
