| Abstract | We have investigated the kidney stone disease and SNP correlation among the northeastern Thai population based on genome-wide association study (GWAS). A whole genome SNP genotyping by DNA microarray were performed in 101 patients and 105 normal control subjects. Selected SNPs were further genotyped by PCR followed with high-resolution melting (HRM) analysis in additional samples, altogether 164 patients and 216 normal control subjects. The results showed that a non-synonymous SNP rs2274907 (c.T326A, p.V109D) of ITLN1 gene had significant differences in genotype and allele frequencies between patient and control groups (P = 0.0006 and 0.0364, respectively), indicating its association with the kidney stone disease in this population |
