| Abstract | Blast disease, caused by Pyricularia grisea, is one of the most serious diseases of rice. Information on ricewith disease resistant genes is important for rice improvement project. In this study, we identified 110 Thailocal rice samples using molecular markers specific to rice blast resistant genes, Pi-ta, Pi-b and Pi-2t. Wefound that 79 cultivars have at least one resistant gene and three cultivars have all the three resistant genes.The outcome of this study will be very useful for breeding program to develop new blast resistant elite ricecultivars in the future. |
