| Abstract | Duplex polymerase chain reaction technique without DNA extraction was developed for detection of E. coli in water. Two primer pairs were designed for amplification of DNA fragments of lacZ and uidA genes. The results showed that the new method of duplex PCR technique in this study was specific to E. coli with sensitivity at 104 cells/ml and capable to enhance by growing bacterial cell in culture broth. |
