| Abstract | Sweet corn seeds are in high demand by farmers. The government does not produce enough to meet the needs of farmers. One of the problems use labor of seed shelling because the lack of machinery. Therefore, built a prototype for using sweet corn shelling which uses crackers as a close cylinder is 60 cm. in, with an axial flow system. Teeth are rasp bar type. Tested to determine the degree of suitability of the rotation of the cracker, comparing the results with manual labor. Concave clearance at 70 mm. At the speed of rotation of the crackers 6 m / s. the quality of sweet corn kernels was not significantly different and can cracking about 70 times faster than labor |
