| Abstract | In order to register a new variety for plant varieties protection, an understndable general and international concept or principle of variety denomination have to be provided. The applicationmust comply its denomination with management of intellectual property rights and avoid confusion or replication of othere plant variety names, as well as practicable general and international criteria must be applied. Resignationplant trade designation as trademark have to be made prior to production and marketing. Avoiding confusion withthose protected plant varieties andtheir trademarks. The suggestions and guidelines form the international organizations will pave the way ofselections of denominationto avoid confusion with other variety names. The criterias in denomination of a new plant variety will ensure suitable and acceptable names selected. |
