| Abstract | Thailand earth observation satellite and plant research, THEOS, the first earth observationsatellite of Thailand programme was set up for design, development, and operation. It will have a design life of 5 years and will be launched in early 2008. The THEOS will provide imagery in thevisible (red, green, blue) and near infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum, 4 multispectral resolution 15 m, image swath 90 km and panchromatic resolution 2 m, image swath 22 km. THEOS images will be useful inagrucultural research appropriated withclassificationof type of crop, stage of growth crop vigour, thenpreparationshould be made for such an opportunity. |
