Abstract The study of weed control with khanki campbell ducks in transplanted rice was conducted at Botany and Weed Science Division. The ducks were allowed to have free adcess to the field at 20 days after transplanting between 8.30 am to 4.30 pm which wee continued until 50 days after transplanting. Three ducks were used for ap plot of 32 sq.m which was fenced with nets to prevent the ducks from transferring to other plots. The treatment were used to allow the ducks to these plots for 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 times respectively, and pretilachlor, hand weeding and untreated check. Weed control pertormance was very good when the ducks were allowed in rice field 5 times when compared with other treatments. Likewise, weed biomass was lower than when they were allowed 5 times. The ducks treatments, pretilachor, hand weeding and untreated check had no significant effect on height, tiller and yield of rice. Grain yield of pretilachlor treatment was highest. However, the more times the ducks were allowed to have free access to the field, the less the rice grain yield were obtained.
