| Abstract | This research aimed to study the activities and communications for their employeesregarding social responsibilities conducted by a company in order to study theresponses of their employees' and their attitudes towards the social responsibilitiesof the company. In this qualitative research, the data was collected from the personwho was responsible for organizing the activities and for communicating withemployees about the company's social responsibilities and also from 4 of the employeesby in-depth interviewing. Content analysis was used to interpret meaning from thecontent of text data.The results revealed that the social responsibilities of the company could be dividedas follows: 1) internal activities involving the social responsibilities of the companyrelated to the manufacturing process and also the responsibilities of the employees:and 2) external activities related to the community. The company places importanceon communication process which aims to encourage the employees to respond and toparticipate. The target group included all the employees in the company. Therefore,easily understandable contents were focused on with various kinds of mediums. Themost effective results were obtained from those activities in which the employeesparticipated. The results of the responses from those employees who participatedvoluntarily were evaluated. As a result of the encouragement of the management teamregarding the company's social responsibilities, the employees have positive attitudestoward the company and want to participate in future activities regarding socialresponsibilities which will lead to a greater employees' commitment. |
