| Abstract | Thai government is promoting "Sufficiency Economy" concept for the country's economic developmentpurpose. "Sufficiency," according to this concept, means "To lead a reasonably comfortable life, without excess,or overindulgence in luxury, but enough." This research selected Tha Toung Luang Sub District as a case studyregarding to its successful "Funeral Expenses Reduction Project." The objective of this study was to find outhow to successfully implement Sufficiency Economy concept to communities. The main methods applied werein-depth interview, participatory observation, and document review. The research results revealed that the keyfactors that lead to the accomplishment of this project were the impactful opinion leaders, methodology ofinvolving people to participate in the project, and the traditional reciprocal Thai culture. |
